THE HOUSE WE WOKE UP IN

Set to the backdrop of an abandoned ghost town, The House We Woke Up In follows seven dancers as they venture through moments of isolation,  alienation, and freedom. Forgotten living spaces, peeling paint, labyrinthian hallways, staircases to nowhere, thick floating dust, and overgrown vegetation set the tone for the world of the film. The world’s decay serves as a metaphor for the emotional journey our characters are embarking on. The house evolves as a character itself as new spaces are revealed and the dancers’ worlds expands.
